Jobs Genius Saw Him Design Almost Everything ( High Tech,)But Not A Mother

Either, the brains behind Apple is Kenyan or Steve Jobs was a 'Kenyan at heart with a foreign face'.Why i say so is due to Apple's love for Swahili words;Its number one browser takes the name 'Safari' which means ' An overland journey by hunters (especially in Africa).Its newest Application in form of ' a personal assistant' who lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more is called 'Siri',again a Swahili word meaning 'Secret'.Well,it could have some other origins as well,eg Scandinivanian where Siri means 'beautiful and victorious' or in India where  Siri is a girl's name meaning 'God's gift of love' .Whatever the origin,it still  is amazing why it had to be a Swahili name,once more.


This prompted me to study a bit of Jobs life.This man who was known as 'a mad perfectionist' was not what we may think he was.With all the money and the genius  of designing products that  would   create technological addicts,he may not have lived life to the fullest.
Those who worked with him say he was a control freak,cruel,insensitive and harmful to others.There are also allegations of him being hard on women;he once sought friends' opinion on whether to marry his wife(then girlfriend) Laurene Powel when he learned of her pregnancy or going back to her ex,who she found equally sumptous.His three daughters did not get the best neither,with the first born Lisa(whom he sired with Chrisann Brennan and abandoned while he was 23yrs,just like his mother abandoned him when she was 23yrs)having to be sorted out by  a friend who though Jobs was not going to pay her tuition in Harvard. He  once dismissed his sister who he met in adultlife as being 'cheaply dressed',and even sent her a box of 'panty suits' to give her a 'taste of femininity'. One of his girlfriends confessed how Jobs took her to a high street cloth shop to show her a dress(read expensive)that would look good on her.I forgive you if you think he bought it for her!However  there is no case of hostility towards his son.

      
With soaring bank accounts,we would have expected him to be living in a small paradise on earth,but he lived in a simple modest house;Bill Gates(who Jobs hated and didn't hide it anyway)once wondered whether Jobs family really had enough space for themselves.
But worst of all were the  self-injustices that he did to his own self;he was a moody guy,hated deodorants,would walk barefoot and soak his feet in  the office toilet ,he was a fasting addict and unbelievably,he delayed his cancer surgery for nine months despite encouragement by his wife,doctor and friends.Instead,he chose to take alternative fruit & vegetable diets.He later regreted this and confessed that he did not want his body to be opened up.On his dying bed,he had to confess that all along ,he knew that' what was living with him(cancer)was not a bowl of cherries'.
Looking at his history,one cannot miss to imagine the untold pain that he lived with;he lived a depressed life and probably never knew happiness.I am posing the question whether this had to do with the motherly love that he was denied at birth?Could he have been bitter with women and hence dreamt of remaking them?Did he harbour self-hatred all along?Walter Isaacson,his biographer says that Jobs once told him that he wanted to become a saint,but did he live as one?
This makes me think just how important a motherly(parental)love is vital for every child.As we await to welcome the 7th billion human on Monday 31st October 2011,let us recognize the rights and needs of children.Where,how and when we were born can change,but we cannot change  that WHO gave birth to us.Think about that.
